Don McGee aka DJ Ghost Dogg i first touched the 1s & 2s at the age of 13 years old,But it was after seeing RUN DMC live in concert 1983 and honing in on the skills of JAM MASTER JAY cutting & scratching, i was like yeah thats what i want to do be a DJ. Throughout my high school years i was djing alot of parties on the weekend at a club called The Gold Rush the owner gave me my 1st pair turntables(gemini) and a old radio shack/realistic mixer.i worked alot odd jobs to save up my money to buy a old bozak mixer from the local music/record store.When he was 16 yrs old one Christmas his parents ask him what he wanted for christmas i told them he wanted to go visit his aunt in ALANTIC CITY,NJ with no family in NEW YORK he wanted to get as close to NYC as i could get. I Arrived in PHILLY then ALANTIC City while there i met a kid he said my neighbor was a DJ,so i ask the kid where do you live he told me, he was like thats around corner, so i talked my aunt in taking me by there that evening, this guy used to be a on air R&B dj on a philly radio station in the mid 70s. he had hundreds of vinyl records in one room, He showed me how to mix & blend from on song into the next. fast fowarding i joined the NAVY in 1986 stationed in Virginia Beach,Va i started DJing(under the name of Juan Don) at a club called THE MAIN EVENT in norfolk 3 blocks from ODU university, In the meantime he became part of a 3 man DJ crew we rocked parties all over Va Beach,Norfolk,Hampton,Newport News,Portsmouth. He had a guy approach me at one of our events he said he was a dj and he wanted to join the crew, we told him we got a full crew but you can help carry crates of vinyl when we do events, timing was perfect one of the guys was moving so we needed another dj so we brought in DJ TimmyTim into the crew you all might have heard of him Tim Mosley aka TIMBALAND super producer. after i got out of the navy i moved to MAIMI djing in numerous of strip clubs & clubs i got burned out of the south florida scene. Moved back home to TENNESSEE enrolled in MIDDLE TENN STATE UNIV.fast foward abit i was woking for fedex and the old Starwood Amphitheatre was on my route WU TANG CLAN was in town they were the opening act for RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE tour, had a delivery for RZA he sign for the box he was like YO!! Son here are couple of tickets for show tonite come hang with us backstage. that was the brief bio of the Ghost Dogg. In 1999 i took a new name RISING LIKE A PHOENIX FROM THE ASHES was the birth DJ GHOST DOGG per RZA, i have  been on stage with some heavy hitters in the HipHop game, such as EPMD,CYPRESS HILL,DE LA SOUL,MASTA ACE,CRAIG G,DJ TONY TOUCH,DJ CLARK KENT, over 25 years on the 1s & 2s, he has a mobile dj & live sound tech company called Special Ops Ent LLC. making beats,giving dj lesson. i was the dj of NLZ (Wu Tang Mmgt)  im a HIP HOP ACTIVIST Official member: WU WORLD WIDE DJ COALITION (new york) Coalitition Force DJs (nashville)
